My Sky Moment™ combines an ancient stargazing tool, the planisphere (Latin planisphaerium), used as far back as the second century by the astronomer Ptolemy with modern scientific methods. The resulting personalized custom star map makes a beautiful and meaningful addition to any home. The starfield displayed represents the stars directly overhead on your special night.

1. Q: Are the stars shown on the certificate the actual stars from this date and location?
A: Yes. The stars and constellations displayed on the custom sky map represent the stars shining directly overhead in the night sky during your most magical moments.

2. Q. Will my product be as professional and beautiful as it appears here?

Using top quality printing and charting techniques, we have created the My Sky Moment personalized star chart as a meaningful remembrance of the most special moments in your life. The night sky chart you receive is quickly and expertly created on heavy photo stock paper with professional custom framing options available to suit any décor.

3. Q: How do you gather this data?
A: We combine centuries old observation techniques with modern graphics, printing, and astronomical imagery. The visible data comes from a combination of surveys: the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, the Digital Sky Survey Consortium, Hipparcos satellite data and the NASA and ESA’s Hubble Space Telescope. Our exact method is proprietary.

4. Q: How long does it take to receive my sky map?
A: Your night sky map will be created for you by hand. During the off season, please allow 1-2 working days for us to make your map perfect! During the peak holiday season, please allow 1-4 working days. Standard shipping in the US is via First Class mail and delivery times vary depending on the Post Office. Express shipping is also available.
Orders sent outside of the US are shipped via FedEx FIMS service. Your package will be expressed via FedEx and delivered by your local postal service. FedEx FIMS service does not provide tracking information.

5. Q: How big is the My Sky Moment custom sky chart?
A: This product is intergalactic! But the physical heavy photo stock poster unframed is 16” x 20”. The Black frame is also 16” x 20”
We also offer printing on unstretched canvas. These fabric rolls are slightly larger to allow for stretching over a wood frame.

6. Q: Will it match my décor?
A: We think it’s beautiful in any room. Tastes vary, so there are numerous color options to choose from. Colors were carefully selected, but it’s up to you to confer with your inner interior designer.

7. Q: Are there any refunds or exchanges?
A: We will refund your purchase less the cost of shipping if you are in any way dissatisfied with the finished product upon return of the items.

8. Q: How long does it take to receive a My Sky Moment personalized sky map.
A: Packages will ship within 1-3 working days of your order depending on order volume. Delivery will be contingent on the shipping method you choose.

9. Q: What if my package is damaged in shipping.
A: We package your unframed My Sky Moment chart of the night sky in a sturdy mailing tube to avoid crushing and damage. We carefully pack and ship you framed sky chart in a large box with unbreakable plexiglass to minimize breakage. Nevertheless, occasionally damage can occur.
